In addition to your status/benefits, I’m able to include additional value/benefits in the way of upgrades, complimentary breakfast, hotel credits, and more for hotels that participate in the STARS (The Ritz-Carlton, Ritz-Carlton Reserve, St Regis, The Luxury Collection, Bvlgari, Edition) or Luminous (W, JW Marriott, Autograph Collections, some Westins,) Programs.

I have direct contacts at the hotels, not just a generic 1-800 number, that I reach out to on behalf of my clients. The amenities offered are similar, including upgrades, credits, early check-in/late check-out, and complimentary breakfast. However, as a preferred partner, my clients receive priority over bookings made through other programs, such as AMEX Fine Hotels and Resorts. I also ensure to reconfirm your reservation before your arrival and advocate for VIP treatment on your behalf. Unlike self-booking, my clients are recognized as my guests upon arrival, not just based on the card used for booking.

Like with most professional services (CPAs, Attorneys, Financial Advisors, Architects) the up-front planning fee covers my time, expertise, resources, and relationships to tailor the trip specifically to your tastes and budget. 

Receiving a planning fee also lets me know that the client is serious about the trip they’re requesting, and it allows me to give them priority over other requests that have not yet been confirmed.

Before any bookings are made, all fees and prices will be discussed upfront for your approval. Even if you prefer to handle flight and hotel bookings independently using points or platforms like Airbnb and VRBO, I can still assist with developing the itinerary, arranging activities, transportation, sightseeing, and offering restaurant recommendations—all within the planning fee. Additionally, I often secure valuable benefits like complimentary breakfast, upgrades, credits, and even airport transfers for hotel bookings. Furthermore, I have access to exclusive promotions not available online, including free nights and special packages.

The trip planning fee is a discussed upfront and is based on the complexity of your trip. It is a flat fee that needs to be paid before building the itinerary and providing a proposal.
When it comes to payment, I prefer to directly apply your payment information (e.g., credit card) with the travel partner, instead of charging you and then sending payment on your behalf. While I strive to provide a breakdown of costs, please note that for packaged trips, some travel partners may not be able to offer a detailed breakdown due to contractual obligations with suppliers. For hotel-only bookings, most hotels require a credit card to guarantee the reservation and may request a deposit or prepayment for special promotional rates. For travel packages including transfers, accommodations, and guided activities, a deposit is typically needed upfront to secure the trip. The final balance is usually due 30-45 days before the trip begins.
